I hope by now you are craving to find out what has got us so hot and excited here at CN….well we are excited to introduce you to our newest contributor,  Fashion Expert Lilliana Vazquez!

She is also the creator of The Cheap Chica’s Guide to Style, a daily blog all about fashion, beauty and style... on a budget!  Cheap Chica’s features the best in frugal fashion, celebrity looks for less, budget beauty and online shopping deals that you can't find anywhere else!  With daily updates and deals, it has become the go-to destination for fashionistas who might be cheap, yet totally chic!

Printopia

The CheapChica, Lilliana Vazquez, helps make high-priced Runway fashions
a reality!

An eclectic mix of folkloric and abstract patterns made it down various runways during Spring 2009 Fashion Week, but the one collection that truly stood out from the rest was that of Matthew Williamson. His use of color, scale and variety created some of the most exciting and fun looks that we have to look forward to this Spring!

This season it’s all about taking a risk with both color and patterns so
throw all those “are you sure this goes together”? and “does this match?” rules out the window.  Look for feminine silhouettes in both short and long lengths and stick with loose, flowy fabrics to maximize the ethereal feel
of this look.

And while Williamson’s designer frocks will cost you about a month’s rent, here are some more budget friendly options (all under $100) that will let
you take this look from Runway to Reality!

Baby Alpaca Vest by Rosario de Armenteras

When of our favorite rituals at Casa Naranja is to peruse the Vivre catalog and conduct some serious fantasy shopping.  We took pause when we encountered this masterpiece of a vest and were not terribly surprised to discover that the designer was none other than the Peruvian Rosario de Armenteras.

Opulence, coconut palms, white sands and tribal beats all conspired to inspire Cia Marítima latest collection of luxury beachwear. Perfect for playing in the ocean or lounging by the pool, this line celebrates the Brazilian's reputation for showcasing sexy skin. However, for those who prefer more coverage, Cia Marítima embodies beach fashion, not just bikinis. Either way, wear one of Cia Marítima's pieces and you're sure to heat things up.

Jemznjewels.com

yearning for a place to find your kelly, fendi, and louis? could be time to put pompous wait lists aside and check out other options like jemznjewels.

make no mistake, this is no e-bay. but you will find rare and coveted accessories you can't find at your favorite consignment shop (ahem, can you say dollar?). and this isn't your typical consignment shop. it's actually a site that caters to high-profile bag-aholics, socialites, and the such from around the world. (think pacific heights to park avenue.) yves saint laurent, prada, cartier (not bags, but do earrings count?), and you get the point. in fact, the owner actually makes it a point to source her goods from pretty reliable personalities (meaning only worn once on the runway, 'cause screen sirens don't go twice 'round.).

Guayabera Margarita
119.00

Chicas, we are supposed to be off for the rest of the summer but we simply could not resist sharing this last tidbit before we take off -- literally. "Crazy" Tavarez (ask us about her nickname) embarked yesterday on a 2 week jaunt to various locations. This in itself is not extraordinary, but her outfit was. She put an new twist on dressing for first class. She was resplendent in a Debra Torres guayabera a fitted top, vibrantly colored with fabric like "buttah." Hermanas, looking first class gets you first class, and, needless to say, she got a much-deserved upgrade. She arrived in Santiago looking fresh and fantastic and she hit the ground running, heading straight to the playa for an evening of dining and dancing, perfectly attired in her first-class top.

Delicious Triangle Babydoll
$52.00

Leave it to two Latinas, Ali Salaverria and Mariela Rovito to create and design a line of lingerie and sleepwear that encompasses every aspect of femininity and fun without compromising fit.

They say it best themselves, “layers worn closest to the skin- should exude an aura of love and joy.” So far so good; I get lots of luv and lots of joy when I slip into my eberjeys.

New York, NY

Clearly being one of Sofia's (our co- fashionista) best friends has its advantages; one is that we have 24-7 access to her closet. For those of you who cannot simply sneak into her (well-appointed) SoHo studio to snag some delicious couture, I have discovered the next best thing. This adorable store in the East Village is full of accessories that I guarantee you will not see on every second lady you see walking on the street, from delightful lingerie to a whimsical collection of candles.

Antik Denim

Calling all you rock-n-roll wannabes that daydream of getting out that cubicle, grabbing the karaoke mic and busting out your favorite Joan Jett tune! Sofia has found you the perfect pair of jeans - sexy, luxe denim that screams (in a very Steven Tyler-type voice) to be strutted across town (hey - not everyone is lucky enough to have a stage). Ria Handbags
Let me begin by introducing Sofia, Casa Naranja's fashionista. Possibly the chicest, most beautiful girl you've ever seen up close. She is obsessed with fashion and beauty (but in a good way). She always reveals her sources. I feel terrible when I see her because, instead of a warm greeting, I immediately zero-in on her outfit and accessories, visualizing which I will borrow and when. She recently made an acquisition that will make you hold your breath. It is the Sun Clutch from her designer-friend Ria (www.riaria.com), And yes, when you shop as much as she does designers become friends.

Leather clutch with quilting around hammered brass medallion. Chainmail handle that can be worn as a clutch or on your shoulder. If possible, this lovely bag is even more stunning in person!
